Are you getting ready to upgrade your kitchen and thinking about gas or electric appliances? Well if you love a seamless look in your kitchen or need to save space, a single built-in electric oven might be just your speed.
Electric wall ovens are ovens that are powered by electricity and are installed in a wall, cabinet, or under-counter space with no need for ventilation. Most wall ovens come in standard widths of 24, 27, 30, or 36 inches, capacities around 3.5 cu. ft., and need a 230- or 240-volt connection. The width dimensions correlate to your cabinet space and the actual dimensions will change product by product, so make sure to measure your space!
To give an idea of how many oven racks you need, a typical 30-inch model will have two or three racks, which let you cook multiple dishes at the same time.
Air frying is a new way to cook your meals to crispy, golden goodness without frying food in tons of oil. Ovens with air fry settings blast extremely hot air throughout the oven cavity to fry your food—which allows you to make healthier versions of your fried favorites. Be sure to give us a call or browse our catalog to see which ovens have this feature.
Convection is different than air frying, as the process uses an internal fan to circulate hot air (as opposed to the extremely hot air of an air fry setting). Convection baking also differs from traditional baking in that it has better heat distribution, shorter cooking times, and results in more even cooking than traditional methods.
Higher-end models will feature True Convection (or European Convection), which uses an additional heating element to improve on the results of regular convection. In addition, some electric ovens expand on True Convection with Twin Convection, which adds a second fan to circulate the hot air even more—just look out for cold spots.
The features you need for your oven all depend on how you like to cook. But here are a few that’ll help with your hangry family:
